 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress as well as a comedian and activist. Her parents were Jewish parents from the Soviet Union and started her career as a child actress when she immigrated to the United States. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and from 2020 on - earned her acclaim. In addition to her commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). In addition she was a series regular on Yahoo! Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot series New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. She and her parents left antisemitism at the age of two. They settled in West Hollywood. She started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five because of the family's financial troubles. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit school following her sophomore year. She was able to get the GED and later was able to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts (Communication) from University of California San Diego. As part of the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
